60 Pounds Lighter and Loving Life at 56

With Walter’s training and transformation program, I regained my health, reduced my arthritis flare-ups, and discovered confidence I hadn’t felt in decades.

In 2014, I had reached a breaking point with my weight. At 238 pounds, I was determined to drop it as quickly as possible. The extra weight made daily life harder — from struggling to keep up on my commute from Baltimore to Washington, D.C., to missing trains because I had to take multiple breaks walking or running from my car to the station. It didn’t take much for me to get out of breath. My clothing size kept increasing, and my Rheumatoid Arthritis flare-ups were becoming more frequent and more painful.

I was tired of being obese and thought Lap-Band Surgery would be the solution. But when I went to the surgeon’s office, I learned I didn’t meet the qualifications — I had none of the required abnormalities. I left disappointed, but I refused to give up on my goal.

That summer, I decided to hire a trainer — and that trainer was Walter Lewis. He called himself a weight loss expert, and while I was impressed by his before-and-after client photos, I honestly didn’t believe it could work for me.

Fast forward two years later, and I’m 60 pounds lighter. At 56 years old, I feel better than I have in decades. My arthritis flare-ups are far less frequent, I can keep pace with the younger crowd at bootcamp, and I can run three miles without stopping.

How did I get here? I train with Walter once a week for personal training, attend his Sunday bootcamp weekly, and have been a dedicated participant in his Body Transformation Program since January 2016. I’m now just 23 pounds away from my goal weight of 155 pounds — and I’m confident I’ll get there.

Losing 60 pounds has not only changed my body — it’s changed my life. Thank you, Walter. I feel amazing!
