My Journey from 230 Pounds to a Healthier, Happier Me with Walter Lewis Fitness Solutions
I began my weight loss journey in early 2020, just weeks before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic. At the time, I was nearly 230 pounds — the heaviest I had ever been — and I knew that if I didn’t make a change soon, I would be well over 250 pounds.
By the end of 2020, I had lost 13 pounds through healthier eating and more frequent exercise. But by early 2021, it had been more than four months since I’d seen the scale move, and I was losing hope. That’s when I joined Walter’s 42 Day Challenge. The accountability and structure he provided reignited my progress and gave me the push I desperately needed.
This has not been an easy journey. There were days I wanted to quit and days when stress eating took over. But Walter was always there to guide me back on track and remind me to prioritize my health. In August 2021, I faced one of my biggest challenges yet — multiple tendon tears in my ankle. I was in a boot for over 90 days, which limited my ability to participate fully in workouts and daily walks. With Walter’s support, I adapted exercises so I could stay active in virtual bootcamps and keep moving toward my goals.
Between the virtual workouts, weekly coaching calls, meal plans, and continued 42 Day Challenges, my progress never stopped. Today, I’m under 200 pounds, have lost more than 20 pounds total, dropped over 5% body fat, and noticed major changes in how my clothes fit. My overall health has improved, and my daughter now calls me “skinny” — a compliment I love because it reflects the hard work I’ve put in.
This journey isn’t over, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’m grateful I found Walter Lewis Fitness Solutions when I did, because it has truly changed my life.
