From Stuck to Strong: How Elizabeth Lost 10 Pounds and Gained Confidence Through Virtual Training

I decided to give it a try. It was the best decision I could have made. Walter helped me define my goals: lose 10 pounds, improve muscle tone, and increase my running speed.

I put off hiring a trainer for a long time, convinced I could reach my health and fitness goals on my own. After all, I was already a runner and ate healthy meals.

For years, I ran at least three times a week—three to four miles at a decent pace for a 43-year-old mom (around 9:30 minutes per mile). But warning signs started to creep in. Over the past few years, my weight had slowly increased until I was 10 pounds heavier than when I turned 40. My clothes didn’t fit as well, and my lack of cross-training was putting extra strain on my lower body while neglecting the rest of my muscles. My running pace had slowed, and my workouts had become repetitive. I knew I needed a change—but I was nervous.

My biggest concern? Time. I’m a mom of three and a full-time attorney whose job requires monthly travel. I couldn’t see myself meeting a trainer at a gym, and I doubted I could stick to a routine on the road. Plus, I had never really worked with weights before. But when Walter told me about his virtual training program—with customized workouts delivered through an app and weekly phone calls for accountability—I decided to give it a try.

It was the best decision I could have made. Walter helped me define my goals: lose 10 pounds, improve muscle tone, and increase my running speed. Each week, he sent me new strength training workouts with easy-to-follow, move-by-move demos. He introduced me to speed interval training to boost my running pace and designed a customized meal plan based on the foods I enjoyed. I tracked my meals through an app that synced with my workouts, and two major realizations hit me: my portion sizes had been too big, and I wasn’t eating enough protein. The apps made it easy to stay on track, even while traveling.

Making my health a priority meant getting creative with my schedule—blocking out a protected lunch hour, running while my daughter was at practice, or waking up 30 minutes earlier on travel days.

The results speak for themselves. I lost the 10 pounds, my clothes fit comfortably again, and I’m back to wearing suits that had been too tight—while newer ones are now too baggy. My arms, legs, and stomach are noticeably more toned, and I’ve shaved over 1:15 off my mile pace, now running at 8:15 per mile. I’m sleeping better, feeling stronger, and more confident than ever.

Thank you, Walter!
